Project Brief

Problem Statement

Proposed Solution
A refillable floss container with electronic components to help track flossing and provide positive reinforcements.
Research + Insights
Those with ADHD can have a tough time remembering and keeping routines, oral care is one of the more common routines those with ADHD struggle with (executive dysfunction)
Flossing can be a source of sensory overload: the feeling of the string in between the teeth, sticking hands in mouth, taste of floss, etc.
Visual aids help immensely with proper technique, and repetition is a necessity, being visually appealing is also enticing
Users will keep products in plain sight and store them in frequented areas for remembrance, alarms also help
Rewards systems are highly useful, rewarding users when they complete a task
Must design with potential under and over stimulators in mind
